When you pre-order an item from Diecast Model Centre, you're reserving a product that isn't in stock yet but will be available later.

Benefits of placing a pre-order:

  • Exclusive Releases: Pre-ordering provides access to models that may not be available from stock once they are released.
  • Secure Popular Models: High-demand models can quickly become scarce. Pre-ordering early ensures that you secure your preferred models.
  • Avoid Price Fluctuations: In some cases, models may experience price increases after thy are announced. Pre-ordering allows you to lock in the price at the time of your order, protecting you from potential price hikes.
  • Priority Despatch: Pre-orders are fulfilled before other orders, allowing you to receive your purchase sooner.
  • Peace of Mind: Enjoy the benefit of securing your models today.

How pre-orders work:

You have two options for pre-ordering through our website:

  1. Consolidate multiple items into a single order, which reduces delivery charges. However, your order will be dispatched only when all pre-ordered items are ready.
  2. Place individual orders for each pre-ordered item. This ensures you receive your item(s) as soon as they become available, but you will incur delivery charges for each order.

When you have decided which option is best for you:

  • Complete your order at the checkout and register your payment details, either a debit/credit card or PayPal - we can not accept any other forms of payment for orders containing pre-orders. You may be asked to pay a small deposit on some items.
  • We'll confirm by email that we have received your pre-order - please add diecastmodelcentre@email.preproduct.io to your safe sender/allowlist to ensure you receive emails regarding your pre-order
  • Within two weeks of your pre-ordered item(s) being ready for despatch, we'll email you to confirm that we will automatically collect the payment from your registered payment method in 24 hours. In the case of orders for multiple items, this will be when the final item is available.
  • As soon as we receive your pre-ordered item(s) from the manufacturer, we will despatch them to you (excluding orders for multiple pre-order items, which we will despatch when the final item is available).

You can also combine pre-orders with orders for 'stock' items. In this case, the stock item(s) will be charged for in full when placing your order and despatched separately with the exception of add-ons such as personalised number plates display cases etc. which will be despatched along with the pre-ordered item(s).

  • All the release dates the manufacturers provide are estimates, and models are often released weeks or months later.
  • Manufacturers generally don't provide release updates, even when the estimated release date has passed. We will let you know and update the release date showing in your pre-order portal should we receive any updates from the manufacturer
  • We regret we can not respond to individual inquiries regarding pre-order release dates.

To summarise, please be patient and prepare for a long wait when placing a pre-order.

Pre-order Terms:

  • All descriptions, specifications and images used on pre-order items are provisional, and the actual production item may vary from that listed on our website.
  • Release dates are subject to change; they may be earlier than quoted but most often later.
  • A payment method, debit/credit card or PayPal, must be registered at the time of placing a pre-order
  • A non-refundable deposit may be requested when placing a pre-order.
  • Balance/full payments will be collected once we have a confirmed arrival date for the pre-ordered item(s), which will be no longer than two weeks before the planned despatch of the item(s).
  • We will give 24 hours notice by email of us collecting the balance/full payment from the deposit payment method.
  • Where we cannot collect the balance/full payment, we will hold the pre-ordered items for up to 5 days, pending an alternative payment.
  • We will cancel pre-orders if we cannot collect the balance/full payment due on a pre-order after 120 hours have expired since our first attempt.
  • We cannot accept full payments when placing a pre-order or early payment of balances. This may invalidate our agreement with the payment provider and we will have to cancel the order.
  • Pre-orders are fulfilled on a 'first come, first served' basis. On occasions, such as when a manufacturer reduces production quantity or an item is in high demand, we may not be able to fulfil a pre-order, and we reserve the right to cancel pre-orders and accept no responsibility nor provide compensation for any losses, inconvenience or disappointment.
  • Where a customer cancels a pre-order, we will retain any deposit to help cover our administration costs, stocking costs, and our loss of profit. Where we can resell a pre-ordered item within 7 days or cancel it with our suppliers, any deposit will be refunded less a fair deduction for our administration costs.
  • Customers may cancel a pre-order in the pre-order portal or by contacting us using any of our contact methods shown on our website.
  • If we cancel a pre-order due to insufficient stock received by us, we will refund any payments in full.
  • If we cancel a pre-order due to non-payment, we will retain any deposit to help cover our administration costs, stocking costs, and our loss of profit.
  • We will place a block on any future orders from customers who have failed to pay on time.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel pre-orders for any reason.
