Recreate one of the most distinctive Volkswagen R models of recent years with this Volkswagen Golf Mk8 R 333 Limited Edition Lime Yellow Metallic 2023 1:18 Scale Resin Model Car by OttOmobile. Produced as OttOmobile reference OT1407, this limited-production model captures the striking appearance of the rare Golf VIII R 333, combining its exclusive Lime Yellow Metallic paintwork with contrasting black details and unmistakable Volkswagen R styling. OttOmobile has limited the 1:18 scale model to just 999 examples.

Introduced in 2023, the Volkswagen Golf R 333 Limited Edition was based on the Mk8 Golf R Performance and restricted to only 333 full-size cars. Its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine produced 333 PS (245 kW), while 4MOTION all-wheel drive, R-Performance Torque Vectoring and a seven-speed DSG transmission helped deliver its high-performance character. The R 333 could accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and had a top speed of 270 km/h.

The R 333 was instantly recognisable through its exclusive Lime Yellow Metallic finish, contrasting black roof and exterior accents, distinctive 333 side graphics and 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system formed part of the extensive R-Performance specification, helping distinguish this exceptionally limited Golf from the standard Mk8 Golf R.

OttOmobile recreates this modern Volkswagen performance car in detailed 1:18 scale resin, capturing the Golf's purposeful stance, aggressive front styling, R-specific detailing, distinctive wheels and vivid colour scheme. The sealed-body construction allows the exterior lines and detailing to remain clean and precise, giving the model excellent presence in a modern performance car or Volkswagen collection.

Specifications

About the Volkswagen Golf R 333 Limited Edition

Volkswagen unveiled the Golf R 333 Limited Edition in 2023 as an exclusive development of the Golf Mk8 R Performance. The name reflected both its 333 PS output and its strictly limited production run of just 333 full-size cars. Power came from Volkswagen's 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and was delivered through a seven-speed DSG transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.

The specification went considerably further than the distinctive paintwork. R-Performance Torque Vectoring could distribute power between the front and rear axles and individually between the rear wheels, while the R-Performance package included additional driving profiles. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system, 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels and semi-slick tyres reinforced its performance-focused specification.

Visually, the R 333 stood apart from other Mk8 Golf R models through its bold Lime Yellow Metallic paintwork, black roof, dark exterior detailing and prominent 333 graphics along the sides. Each of the 333 production cars also received an individually numbered plaque, reinforcing the model's status as one of the rarest Golf R derivatives of its generation.

Why This Model Stands Out

The OttOmobile Volkswagen Golf R 333 OT1407 combines an unusually rare real-world subject with one of the most distinctive colour schemes offered on a modern Golf. The original car's production run of only 333 examples makes the R 333 significantly less common than a conventional Golf R, while its Lime Yellow Metallic finish, black detailing and unique graphics give the 1:18 scale model immediate visual impact.

OttOmobile's production run of just 999 models adds another layer of collector interest. At 1:18 scale, the model is large enough for details such as the wheels, aerodynamic styling, lighting, badges and distinctive R 333 exterior treatment to be appreciated clearly when displayed.
